These floors were made for dancing

We've moved in, most boxes are unpacked (except for those book boxes- nowhere to put them bad boys yet). Still waiting on the big 5. Furniture-couch, table, chairs, bed, tallboy to arrive.

Priority is the dining table as we've got my ye olde bed that we're bunking in for the moment. And a ye olde couch that we've thrown a throw rug over (that's what throw rugs are for, apparently) to get us by. Oh, and those boxes I mentioned before, they're coming in real handy as stools around our 'Fisher & Paykel' coffee table. (F&P don't make coffee tables- we're talking here about the part of the box that the fridge came in).

Never fear, I have been making "good" use of the temporary space in the living room. Yesterday, I put my swing shoes on and spun around on the wooden floors to test their danceability. And they are great! (Floors & shoes). Just have to watch out about throwing my hands in the air & shakin them like I just don't care as there is a real danger of hitting the chandelier. But, keeping the hands down, you can have a good old boogie. Irish dancing style.

Next, I tested the acoustics by dusting off the old (ep9) piano and tinkling the plastic ivories. My God, that thing has seen some days. You know, for an electrical appliance. I even put the demo on and hopped outside to see how loud it was and if it would disturb the neighbours and to see if anyone thought that it was really me playing and what good & accurate use I was making of all the possible sounds. Acoustics were good but sound is loud and could disturb the neighbours, unless they like a blues jam in E played on an organ sound number 6 on a Nano Piano. But, I digress.

Finally, with the first glimpse of sun this spring, I hung out (myself & washing) on the decking for a bit and can confirm that all three got a bit of sun. Gonna be a good place for entertaining. Just hope it doesn't burn up the orchid, or parsley or any Irish skin that might be lurking.

So, all the important things sussed. Good floor for dancing, good acoustics for playing, good sun on the decking for entertaining, growing & sunburning stuff. I think we will be happy here...
