50 things to do

It's that 50 things to do time of year again. Each year I jot down 50 things to do and try and get through as many as possible before the year is out. Since I met Kieran this list has been upgraded to a spreadsheet which makes it very easy (and yes, admittedly) slightly geeky to keep track of. My best year was 2007 when I accomplished 42.

There are no particular rules about how momentous or life changing these 50 things should be and have included a range of activities in previous years from travelling around the world to solving a cryptic crossword clue. (Not the whole puzzle, just one clue and believe me this took nearly the same length of time as travelling around the world).

A couple of gems for this year:
1. Get married.
2. Have a hen's night (see a theme emerging)
3. Make sticky toffee puddings
4. Cook a gourmet meal (Kieran is in on this too, thankfully)
5. Go to the Eurovision Song Contest (flights *& accommodation booked, just need tics)
6. Attend a BBC radio recording
7. Go to the Sex in the City premiere
8. Do a run for charity
9. Read 12 new books from the BBC book club previous reads list (at least 2 before the radio show airs) and
10. Write in this blog at least once a week-consider yourself warned

If anyone wants to join me in these let me know!! Except the getting married one, that's reserved for Kieran
