Easter Tidings

Just back from a fab Easter break up in Beechworth. This has to be one of my favourite places in Victoria to visit- great restaurants, wineries, honey sandstone historic buildings and lovely scenery. Apart from the Mornington Peninsula, it's the place we've visited most often since returning from London.

But just when you think you know all there is to know about a place (bakeries, wine clubs we're members of etc.) you go with a new group of people and find some new gems.
  • The Green Shed- lovely restaurant near the Carriage motel!
  • Indigo wineries- they do things differently there- personalised servings & anecdotes about the wine from the winemaker himself
  • The gaol-0perational until 1995 & plenty of Ned Kelly reference
  • A coffee place that roasts their own beans
  • And a Golden Horseshoe festival that means you should really book accommodation & restaurants a lot earlier than we did.

A fab break & a fab trip
