First entry for the year- and it's practically February already! Where is the time going?

So, with my 50 things to do this year, one of them is to blog at least 12 times*, so once a month...at least. Then I can keep things ticking over.

Starting the year with K's parents and brother visiting & a mammoth trip around all our fave places in Victoria. Accommodation wise it was like a trip in a time machine.

• Beechworth, (Kelly country, breweries & wineries), (accommodation= modern, naughties)
• Echuca, (excellent New Year's in 38 degree weather) (accommodation= 1980s meets 1990s outdoor area)
• Daylesford (nails are still in good shape from the pedicure at the Hepburn Springs!), (acc= early 1900s)
• Halls Gap (having kangaroos as neighbours and scaling the heights to the Pinnacle) (acc= 1970s) and
• Apollo Bay (not quite hot enough for swimming but good for walking & great wind in the Otway Ranges rainforest...I never knew how much those trees moved in the wind!) (acc= 1950s/60s beach house)

The rest of January saw me working my way through all those grand little jobs that you do when you have time off work; applying for your name to be changed legally on licensees, passports & health cards, getting a plumber to check the outdoor dunny, a glazier in to fix that nagging crack in the glass, finding a health fund suitable dentist! etc. All the mundane stuff that you forget when you're back at work.

Which I am, on Wednesday. I've almost gotten to the stage where I'm looking forward to going back to school. But I still hate those signs in shop windows.

* nothing in the 50 things to do list says that these 12 blogs have to be interesting :)
