10Ks & a Hen's night

We had a great night on Sat night celebrating Melinda's (second left) last few weeks as a single girl. Between the champagne, cosmopolitans, food, pressies, games, classic cheesy love songs, dodgy dance routines at 2 in the morning, & Muriel's wedding & My Big Fat Greek Wedding & Grease DVDs, fun was had all round. Perhaps we'll perform our fabulous street dance routine at the school break up party...if the demand is there.

I don't think we're too popular with the neighbours below at the moment but it was totally worth it.

And Kieran had a pretty good Sat too- he ran a 10km in a personal best time 40 mins 6 sec. At this rate he should break the 40 min mark next race. Fingers crossed.
He also got to check out the start of the Tour de France in Central London. (One of my students wanted to know they had to keep cycling on the ferry across from England to France).

Would you believe it's just starting to rain again and I just heard/saw thunder & lightning. Can't wait to get to Australia & New Zealand- yes I know it's winter there but surely it can't be worse than here at the moment.

Sounds like a fun night. Your neighbours would just be jealous!

I thought the 10k would be $10,000!!! That would be nice. :) Great effort. I don't think I could run 10 meters at the moment. Then again could I ever?

Oh I know, there's no way I could do 10k. We walked 10 km for a charity a couple of months ago and that was enough!
