So, I'm doing a refresher First Aid course at my new school tomorrow (way to warm up into the school year). Last time I did a course was well over 10 years ago. Some things have changed slightly. Like there's now a D after the DRABC, but otherwise it seems okay.
I'm a bit worried about the test so I've been doing some studying. All I can say is that I hope the questions on the first aid test are as easy as this one tomorrow:
Scenario 5
You are looking after a boy who has pulled on a tablecloth and a hot cup of tea has slipped off the table onto
his arm. The back of his right hand and right lower arm are turning red.
What is your FIRST priority?
A. Put his right hand and right lower arm under cool gently running water from the tap;
B. Spread toothpaste all over his right arm;
C. Pick up cup and saucer from floor;
D. Spread butter on the back of his right hand and right lower arm.
I especially like how they've put FIRST in capital letters.
