Well hello 2013

So here we are at the start of 2013 and now for my annual blog post. Oh, no hang on. It's practically June. The last time I posted was almost exactly a year ago. Lucky no one is waiting with bated breath.

Part of my excuse is that I'm back at uni (remember that old chestnut). So I'm one H2a into the masters and so far so good. However, the most significant thing I've learnt thus far is that uni is totally wasted on young people. They sitting around in the Tuesday night session (5.15) complaining about how they could still be in bed (what?!) but instead they came to uni to build robots and create QR codes and make games from scratch with Scratch. Yep, all that kind of dull stuff. I sit there thinking, yay, isn't it fun to study and how mind blowing is the discourse of prescribed reading?

I know. I know. Who am I and what have I done with the real (aka 20 year old) me. Well, I guess I'm twice the person I used to be at 20. Segue into how awesome that 40th birthday was and how much I'm looking forward to the kocktails and karaoke 40th next Saturday.
