Sunny Scotland

We've had a wonderful week in Sunny Scotland. I'm not even being sarcastic (I save my dark sarcasm for the classroom). This was only my second time in Scotland & last time the weather was perfect too. I don't see what all the fuss is about up there. Seems great to me all that sunshine.

We went on a couple of mighty hikes. The first walk is a bit of a killer for us city folk & then after that you sort of get addicted & feel a day is wasted if you haven't hiked for 2 couple of hours and breathed in fresh alpine air. I'd be feeling quite smug about all that physical outdoorsy exercise if it weren't for the fact that we gorged on the fabulous cooked breakfasts that are the joy that is B&B...and then a nice lunch...and then a 2-3 course meals each night. Not to mention the taste-habit for Scottish Ale that I developed (& will now be attempting to kick in order to fit into the wedding dress I've ordered).

And it was lovely not to be able to do anything about the wedding for a week (except book a honeymoon to Namibia). I expect the next few months are going to be hectic.
