for the first semi final...

So, it's nearly time for the first semi-final of the Eurovision 2010. Strangely, the good folk at SBS have decided to put the screening of both semis off until Friday & Sat (with the final on the Sunday). Now, I know there is a bit of a time difference, but with all the results online I'd be amazed if anyone will wait to watch it then... I'll be logging on tomorrow morning to see what the story is!

Here are my predictions:
1. Serbia (love em)
2. Greece (will really get the crowd rocking)
3. Portugal (nice song, sung well. Really hoping Portugal can do well this year- they've put in such a consistently good effort the past few years, they deserve it!
4. Iceland (for boppy value)
5. Slovakia (one of my foreign language faves)
6. Malta (who loves Eurovision more than they do?)
7. Belgium (so different, he'll stand out)
8. Albania (again, different in a competition of blonde ballads)
9. Belarus (cheesy butterfly thing might do it for them)

and maybe 10. Russia, if everyone gets the joke
