Over & Out- Satellite

It's all over for another year (and what's another year?). Eurovision. Loved it. Despite the total self-imposed media blackout, which was the online equivalent of walking around a room with hands over the ears shouting, 'not listening, not listening'. For 24 hours. But it all paid off, I didn't know the winner when I watched the show with some other equally media-blacked-out friends last night, so it was all fun and games. We even had our own voting system which saw a Greek win. OPA!!

I'm very pleased with the Germany win (especially as I'd drawn them in the Sweep- thank you that $18 will come in very handy in the current economic climate). I'm gunning for a Berlin ESC next year-I'm pretty certain they wouldn't have been involved last time as the last German win was pre-unification! Gasp, and yet the Germans still paid for it each year and didn't chuck their toys out of the pram (like Italy and now, apparently, Switzerland) when they didn't win. So, good on them, I'm delighted for Lena & the country.

It's always an anti-climax at this time of the year with ESC over. But this year we have only to wait until November for the first AsiaVision (Our Sound) and Australia is involved!! Hurrah! We can sing & vote & maybe host our own version of vision. Yaayy! Australia, douze points
