it's the second semi final countdown

It's Thursday night here in Oz, so time to make some ESC second semi-final predictions. (Funny, was just teaching my students about the word prediction today too).

So,

1. Lithuania- zany but with a political message

2. Armenia- ballady but with a political message

3. Israel- don't have a clue what he's saying but I get it, he's hurting. Bless.

4. Denmark- one of my faves from the start. Is a love at first sight & a keeper all in one

5. Sweden- not sure why, just think it might appeal

6. Ireland- the heritage vote (and a half-decent song sung very well)

7. Turkey- for the ROCK value

8. Georgia- a nice song. Kind of Believe'esque

9. Croatia- as long as we're not too over ballads

10. And even though I'd love it to be Romania for the duelling pianos alone I think it might be the Netherlands for sheer old-school cheese. Going back to the ESC roots.
