Jet Lag

Back from Canada now.

Didn't sleep at all on the plane back from Toronto (and it was an overnight flight, so this was probably unwise). I'd just finished watching a couple of the inflight movies* (my downfall) and was settling down to a quick 40 winks when they turned the lights on and announced they were bringing around a Continental breakfast. Well, you know me, never one to let a free feed slip through my fingers, so ended up with no sleep. I did fall asleep on the tube home from Heathrow though & had an hour nap when we got in, so an early night tonight and fingers crossed I'll be functional for school tomorrow.

Speaking of which, I'm noticing that pile of unmarked coursework that I've stashed next to the computer- I've not thought about that for two weeks!! Goodness this is shaping up to be a busy half term.

And Kieran has had another notice from the Australian High Commission wanting "a few pieces of recent relationship evidence to demonstrate that you continue to be in a spousal relationship with your sponsor." Clearly, the photos, joint bank account details, 2 stat decs, 2 leases in both names and utility bills were not enough... Still, we are moving in the right direction...

* Watched a French movie called 'Entre Les Murs' or The Class and felt this was the closest thing to depicting what life is really like in our big inner city schools these days!! It was a bit too close to the bone for comfort but I think I will buy the movie & any time I feel nostalgic for London Living I'll watch it & be reminded of how tough it really is sometimes

do you have a notebook where you keep all your scrabble scores, with two columns marked A and K? that's irrefutable evidence.

Good thinking batman.

And of course we do. It's got Scrabble, Rummikub, & Nuts Scores!!

And the winners of each Series...

and now that I think of it, there are hand drawn cartoon pictures of us in their too above scores. It certainly would be one of the more creative pieces of evidence...although I think they want utility bills...boring!
