How To Incorporate Eurovision Into Your Everyday Life...

Eurovision fever has really hit now. Well, hit me anyways.

I've downloaded all the songs & familiarised myself with them all.
I have watched the videos (live versions whenever possible to get the real sense of the performer).
I have clear favourites. These change daily.
I talk ESC talk to anyone who'll listen. Consequently, I've alienated all my friends & in-laws!!
The plans for our Russian Themed Eurovision Extravaganza are in full swing & invites have gone out. Some people have even said they're coming!!

But even still, I yearn for my friends Twinkle & Mezza to be living in the same country. I know these two would really appreciate the magic that is this fabulous song concert!

Anyway, for every one else, here are some tips on how to incorporate the ESC songs into your daily life;

Germany: Perfect tempo for walking to work in the mornings if you're a). 152cm & b) late for work

Norway: A good bopping along one for when you are chopping carrots (or other vegetables) for dinner

Azerbaijan: My favourite for when you are doing the washing up (or dusting, if that's your thing). The time just flies by

Sweden: My fave for drowning out the stomping of the neighbours in the flat above. I like to think it freaks them out a bit too. ("What on earth is that noise from below??")

Switzerland: A great sunny tune. If I had a car and it was a warm summer's eve I would play this loud as I drive along

The Netherlands: And this is the song that makes me stop whatever I'm doing & pull out the old Stock-Aitken-Waterman/Young Talent time/Liturgical Dance moves from my youth. Unfortunately, this does not mean it will be popular with a younger audience & I'm afeared it won't even make the finals :(

What about blasting Chiara's big gay hands in the air dance remix out of the car window on the way to work in the morning and scaring the neighbours...??

"i'm in love with a fairytale even though it hurts..." la la la

can't get it out of my head. but keep thinking he's probably doing it wrong if it hurts.

what i can't figure out and haven't gotten around to googling, is this: didn't a young lesbian from serbia win last year? so why is it in russia? am i a year behind? (i have lost whole years here and there since having drew)

Oh my, Schlagerboys, I will have to check out the Maltese dance remix. Sounds fab. They do lurve a good ESC song in Malta. In fact, on holidays there in Valleta was the only time I've ever actually heard Daz Sampson outside of a Eurovision context.

Twinkle- The Serbian lady Marija won 2 years ago- last year was a controversial win for Russia in Serbia- i remember it well, we were there in Belgrade!!!
