Anchor, Angkor, What??

So now we've checked into our last hotel of the trip in Siem Reap- 3 nights here and then we fly home. Can't believe how quickly this holiday has gone!

Today was a long day in the bus through the Cambodian countryside but it was really beautiful. Cambodia is so different to Vietnam & Thailand, even down to the delicious garlicky & gingery gfod (which Andy P and I are eating in copious amounts, we are trying to avoid becoming ill by eating our way to immunity, it's WW with avengence when we get home)

One of the nicest things about Cambodia is the genuine Khmer smiles you get everywhere. We made some good friends in a group of school children yesterday in the Palace & Museum of Phnomh Penh, delighted to practise their (quite good) English & good fun for us.

Last night was a big one. Saturday night is rockin in Phnomh Penh. We hit the FCC bar and then went on to the only gay bar in the village where Andy P and I took over the computer and played DJ for a while before doing our aerobics workout. This warmed us up nicely for the 'big' nightclub Heart of Darkness, where again we danced away the night. A couple of seedy starters this morning (Jase our Grasshopper Master included) . Luckily we didn't have to do much except sit in a bus all day. And ofcourse our aqua aerobics with Andy in the hotel pool.

Tomorrow we're off to see some of the larger temples in Angkor Wat, one of the reasons I came on this trip, so looking forward to that.
