Wow- I have a definite favourite now. The German entry. Finally a wonderful Eurovision tune that you can swing out to! Plus, if my German translation is anywhere near accurate the title means Women Rule the World. (can anyone confirm this?)

I agree. I thought the Germs were fantastic. But sophistication levels unfortunately don't spread Europe-wide - especially not among Eurovision audiences.
Not sure sophistication has all that much to do with it these days. You could do a thesis on the politics of the Eurovision voting over the past 52 years. Would make for an interesting read (i.e. I would read it)
