Putin' in the Effort

One of my favourite memories of last year's Eurovision was watching the enthusiastic first timer Azerbaijanis dressed up to the hilt & racing around the arena with a giant flag during their number & me thinking "now, that's how to support your country, why doesn't anyone from Ireland support the Irish entries with such gusto these days?!!"**

And it looks like another classic entry from Azerbaijan this year- it's like they've been studying the form for 50 odd years and have developed a magic ESC formula. Get the enormous flags ready...

I would put money on this getting into the final (and Top 4) but the returns aren't that great. (16/1) Certainly not as good as the Toppers (Netherlands) & Ireland whom I have put money on! Perhaps I am taking this all far too seriously- Can I claim to be delirious with illness? Eurofever? And I'm not talking about the footy. Anyway, with Putin himself dropping in to lend support to the Azerbaijan 2nd dress rehearsal maybe I should put couple of punt on...
